Benefits of being a Christian Business Owner

  1. Contentment
  2. Disciple making
  3. Best business advice

Contentment in your business:

Not that I speak from want, for I have learned to be content in whatever circumstances I am. I know how to get along with humble means, and I also know how to live in prosperity; in any and every circumstance I have learned the secret of being filled and going hungry, both of having abundance and suffering need. I can do all things through Him who strengthens me.  Philippians 4:11-13

To truly be content in your business, no matter the circumstances you are in is by truly believing that it is ONLY God who gives you the strength to do all things. He gives you the strength to trust Him through the storm, He gives you the strength to make the right choices in your business, He gives you the wisdom to know what jobs are from Him and which are not.  He speaks to you when you do now know what to do in a difficult situation between you and staff members, and when you get quite, know that that’s when God speaks for you!

When stress arises, contentment overflows!

Disciple making in your business:

The Great Commission (Matthew 28:19–20)

“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

This command from God to making disciple are not just in our personal life, but also in our business encounters. When we meet new clients, new suppliers, new employees. With all 3 aspects (if I can say it that way) we need to make disciples.  When people meet you for the first time, what do they notice first about you? Do you talk to your new clients, staff or suppliers about who God is to you?

How many opportunities have passed when you felt that you need to tell this person about God and you ignore that voice inside of you because you are afraid about what that person will think about you. The no. 1 distraction the enemy uses to let not make disciples are the fear of man.

Let go of the fear of man and start having the Fear of God in your life!

Best business advice in your business:

Call to me, and I will answer you; I will tell you wonderful and marvelous things that you know nothing about. (Jeremiah 33:3)

You may make your plans, but God directs your actions. (Proverbs 16:9)

Always consult God before any decision you make in your business. Always ask God to give you His advice about the job opportunity or job that needs to come in.  When we talk to God first before anyone else about something in our lives or business then He will reveal wonderful and marvellous things about us or our businesses that not us or anyone else knows.

Don’t be so confident that you think you know what plans God has for your business.  Especially if you have not asked God what plans He has for you.

Let get into the habit of talking to God first before making any decision, talk to God in the morning before putting on your computer.

Put God first in all decision making and you will never have the disappointment if something did not work out the way you want it to work out.  Because when we first ask and talk to God about something and we are obedient toward what God says we must do then we do the will of God and not ours.

So obedience toward God’s will minimizes the risk of our failure in our personal and business life.
